The 5 places of Miqats
-Dhu'l-Hulayfah
Is the place
where the people of Al-Madinah enter into ihrām (state of socialization)? For

It is a
village about 10 km from Al-Madinah and is the farthest miqat from Makkah.
Between
Makkah and Al-Madinah, there are more or less 10 days of walking along the
path, as there are many, as Shaykh ul-Islâm Ibn Taymiyya رحمه الله reports.
This place is
also called Wadil-'Aqiq and the masjid there are called Masjid ush-Shajara.
There is a
well that the ignorant call Bir 'Ali, because they think that Ali (R.A) fought
a jinn and that is false.
-Al-Juhfa
Is a village
which is about 3 days walk from Mekka and it is the mîqat of the people of Shâm
and Egypt and also people of Al-Madinah if they follow this path.
Ibn Taymiyya رحمه
الله said:
"It is the mite of the pilgrims who come from the west like the
people of the Shâm of Egypt and the others coming from the west. Nowadays,
this place is in ruins, that is why people go into ihrâm before, at the place
called Raabigh”
-Qarn
ul-Manâzil
Also called
Qarn uth-Tha'âlib is a day and a night's walk from Mekka, and it is the
people's miqat coming from the Najd (central region of the Arabian Peninsula).
-Dhâtu-'Irq
Is located in
the desert at the border between the region of Najd and Tihama about 65 km from
Mekka.This is the Iraqi people's miqat.
-Yalamlam
Is a 2-night
walk (about 50 km) from Mekka. It is the miqat of the people of Yemen.
